The New York Yankees are one of the more intriguing teams to follow in the league this offseason. They have a few holes on their roster and have been connected to a slew of different players, but they haven't been able to secure a deal worthwhile.

Free agent outfielder Cody Bellinger has been the team's top priority for the majority of the offseason, but ESPN's Buster Olney reported that the Yankees expect Bellinger to sign with a new team.

As a result, the Yankees are going to need to pivot to a different outfielder. They can't afford to lose Bellinger without replacing him, but the options in free agency are limited. The Yankees might need to spend a lot of money to land the best replacement possible.

Prediction: Yankees sign Kyle Tucker to $400-plus million deal

Kyle Tucker of the Chicago Cubs is the clear best option for the Yankees. They've been closely linked to Tucker for the last few weeks, but this Bellinger update makes the idea of signing him even more important.

But it could take $400 million to land Tucker, and the Yankees are one of the only teams in the league that can afford such a deal.

The Yankees are seemingly out on Bellinger because of the contract he's asking for, but that doesn't mean they'd be out on Tucker at double the price.

The Yankees could see Tucker as worth $350 million or $400 million, though they don't see Bellinger as worth $200 million.

Either way, adding one of the best outfielders in the league alongside Aaron Judge would be a huge move for the Bronx Bombers.
