A dog owner was left stunned when she returned home to find a note from her neighbor informing her of the disruption her dachshund was causing - and then the pet cam revealed all.
Bianca Lopez shared a post on her dog Martini’s dedicated TikTok account (@martinidaweenie_) to reveal the note she was shocked to find on her door. The pink Post-it note had a handwritten message from one of the neighbors, informing Lopez what her dachshund was actually doing all day while she was alone.
The note explained that 1-year-old Martini “barks pretty constantly” when Lopez is gone. The neighbor also said they “would appreciate your attention to training/finding a solution.”

The revelation may not have come as a complete surprise to Lopez, from New York, after all. In addition to the Post-it note, the TikTok slideshow also included a screen grab of Martini barking that was caught by the pet cam.
Newsweek has contacted Lopez via TikTok for comment.
Martini certainly doesn’t agree with the allegations however, as the TikTok caption joked that “none of it’s true” and that it’s merely just the neighbors “spreading rumors” about her.
The note was written several months ago when Martini was a puppy. Lopez explained on TikTok that the situation has “been handled” and Martini copes much better whenever she’s left alone now.
Lopez continued: “The note was left when she was 3 months old and adjusting. She’s a grown girl now. Sure, she has a bark slip now and then, but she’s a dog. She’s pretty quiet for the most part and the best girl.”
Social media users can’t get enough of Martini’s antics, and the post has gone viral with over 666,500 views and more than 105,400 likes on TikTok at the time of writing.
Many people have taken to the comments section to share their thoughts on the absurd claims made against the dachshund, and needless to say, a lot of them have jumped to her defence. This has led to more than 280 comments on the viral TikTok post since it was shared on November 5.
One comment reads: “[She] wasn’t even barking. [She’s] clearly just singing. Some nerve of your neighbors.”
Another TikTok user replied: “God forbid a dog has a hobby.”
While other internet users offered their advice for how to help a pet with separation anxiety. One commenter wrote: “I put coffee shop jazz music for mine on YouTube and they love it lol.”
Another person said: “Try leaving a lil doggie tv on for [her]. Keeps my dogs from losing it!”
