A playful office dog has melted the hearts of millions of viewers on TikTok, charming them with her relentless enthusiasm to play during the working day.

The canine was captured attempting to coax a human coworker into a game of fetch, with the resulting footage being shared to TikTok under the handle @bluejello22 on March 9. The short clip, captioned "best coworker ever," has been viewed more than 5.8 million times and liked over 952,000 times to date.

Viewers were able to see the dog peering eagerly through the open top of a Dutch door, tossing several toys into the hallway while waiting for someone to play with her. A coworker, initially focused on their tasks at their desk, tried to resist the playful interruptions. However, the dog's persistence proved far too endearing to ignore, and the human eventually gave in, stepping into the hallway to play along.

The video's creator added in the comments: "We work at the Humane Society! All of the office doors are half doors. We can bring our dogs to work with us. We also foster dogs in our offices!"

The post has delighted viewers on the platform, many of whom flooded the comments section with their delight at the dog's humorous attempts to play in a serious environment.

One viewer posted: "1. Where do you work? 2. Are they hiring? 3. I'm gonna to need your office or the one directly across …"

"They made a half door," another added.

"She is offering everything she has," a third wrote.

The benefits of having pets in the workplace extend beyond just viral moments. A 2021 study published in the National Library of Medicine found that employees who brought their dogs to work experienced lower stress levels and increased job satisfaction.

Pets in the office can also encourage breaks and social interaction, which can help boost productivity and foster a more-positive atmosphere.

For many viewers, the video of the playful office dog was a welcome reminder of the simple joys that pets can bring to mundane working environments.

One viewer summed up the sentiment perfectly, commenting, "may this work environment please find me."
