A household with three canines and only two dog beds ran into a problem when an owner discovered the largest of the bunch was forced to rest on a stuffed animal.

TikTok user @liz2swag couldn't believe what she discovered when she walked out of her room in last week's video. Her 5-year-old Labrador retriever curled himself up as small as possible to rest on a stuffed animal. This made no sense, considering the house had two dog beds.

She panned the camera to show those beds were already occupied. The Chihuahuas took them over. Each tiny dog slept comfortably on the beds, fast asleep and unconcerned that the Labrador didn't have a spot for himself.

The Chihuahuas are small enough that they could've shared one bed and let the Lab have the other one, which usually happens in this household. But the large dog accepted his fate without arguing, and when the owner walked over to him, he started wagging his tail to show what a good sport he's been about the situation.

The caption reads: "They got my man on the squishmallow bed."

The owner explained in a follow-up video that after buying two big beds from the store for the Labrador, they ended up keeping both because the Chihuahuas wanted one, too. She thought the three dogs would only need two beds since the Chihuahuas could fit together on one.

Usually, sharing the beds is not a problem, she said. The dogs will take turns sharing the beds, and the Lab will often opt for the floor. The senior Chihuahua, who sported the purple jacket in the video, stays where she sleeps because the family doesn't want to move her once she gets comfortable.

This incident, however, caught her off guard because she'd never seen the Lab "so desperate" for a bed before. But it isn't all that surprising as she noted this is typical Chihuahua behavior.
