The U.S. Department of State has announced a new round of special passport acceptance fairs nationwide this spring.

The new dates include evening and weekend options for in-person applicants across multiple states and territories.

Why It Matters

What To Know

Special fairs are hosted by post offices, clerks of court, libraries, and similar acceptance facilities.

The events are supposed to be for first-time applicants but some events at passport agencies may accept renewals, with appointment rules varying by location, State Department guidance said.

The events listed below are intended for first-time applicants, children, and anyone required to apply in person, with some locations requiring appointments or advance calls.

Travelers who need passports sooner will be able to use expedited service or seek urgent travel appointments where eligible, subject to availability and documentation requirements.
