Hollywood Medium Tyler Henry has an idea about what the afterlife looks like. He spends his time connecting with those who have died and finds them to be at peace. Though where they are, exactly, he's unsure.

"You know I have so many questions myself," he explained to Newsweek. "I think it's one of those things where we as human beings are limited in our comprehension to fully understand and I even kind of liken it to trying to explain arithmetic to a baby. You know, if you try to explain calculus or you know all those things, and you get a blank stare. And I think it's just because we human beings are limited in our ability to process."

As for what he sees, Henry is learning as he goes. "As a place, I don't necessarily see heaven or hell," he said. "I think there is definitely life but that is very different from the familiarities in this realm. I'm learning more and more from every reading that I do. When people come through they're not talking about heaven or hell, but I definitely see that there's a continuation of life and that we do still have the ability to connect to our loved ones and the love that we share with them."

Henry has known he has a special ability since age 10 when we woke up from a sound sleep knowing his grandmother would die that night. His ability, as seen on his hit E! Reality show Hollywood Medium with Tyler Herny, allows him to speak with those who have died and relay messages to the living. Henry is also able to predict what will happen in an individual's life. His career allows him to present these conversations to celebrities, and he finds it's even more challenging than a reading with any normal person because of the readily available information on his clients. He aims to bring up specific details only a deceased loved one would know to prove his authenticity in today's information-ready world. Season 4, which will premiere on Thursday, will take a closer look into his recent readings as well as Henry's personal life.

Henry's presence comes across as genuine and positive. He spoke of the times in his life he hasn't been so confident and encouraged viewers to be resilient. "I think of my own life when I went to high school," he said of unhappiness. "Not only was a medium but I was gay and for me, there were a number of challenges that I faced with that, but that was something that I had to deal with. The things that make us unique, the things that make us different, the sometimes unique positions we're in our calling. By sticking true, we can ultimately do something that can change the world for the better."

As for dealing with skeptics, the 23-year-old medium has accepted not everyone will believe him: "I've definitely come to a point in understanding that I can only help the people that want my help, and my goal is to help as many people as I can and when it comes to the validation that comes from doing this reading."
