Preliminary information indicates that two children, ages 13 and 4, were fatally shot, and two others, ages 8 and 9, were transported by Life Flight in critical condition.”

It is not known which hospitals they were transported to. “Fortunately, the two injured children are now in stable condition,” Madison Polston, the sheriff's public affairs officer, told the Associated Press.

The sheriff’s office said in its Facebook post that “all individuals believed to be involved have been detained, and there is no ongoing threat to the community.” Polston told the AP that an adult woman was taken into custody in relation to the incident.

The investigation is still ongoing.
