A pair of twins from a tiny village in north Wales are going viral after their mom captured their wide-eyed reaction to city life during a weekend trip to London.

Lucy Jones (@lucyjones_x) shared a clip on TikTok of her sons Teddy and Noah, both 5, riding a London Underground train at the end of a long day in the capital. The boys sit side by side, visibly perplexed.

"They actually sat completely shellshocked like that for a few minutes," Jones, 32, told Newsweek. "It was so funny, I had to take a video."

Jones, who shares the twin boys and their 8‑year‑old daughter Belle with partner Lewis Clayton, said the reaction made sense, given where her children have grown up.

The family lives in a small village on the island of Anglesey in north Wales, surrounded by beaches and mountains. Lucy added that it is also home to the village with the world’s longest place name—made up of 58 letters.

"It’s such a small place that everyone knows each other," Lucy said, describing a lifestyle that couldn’t be more different from the pace and scale of London.

The trip came about while the family was visiting relatives in the Hertfordshire area in the east of England.

With London nearby, Lucy and Lewis decided to make a weekend of it. While their daughter Belle had visited the capital before, it was the twins’ first time experiencing a major city.

Over the course of the day, the family packed in some of London’s most iconic sights, including Buckingham Palace, Covent Garden and the Natural History Museum—an experience Lucy said the twins genuinely loved.

"They were so excited about the whole day," Lucy said. "They loved catching trains, Tubes and a cab."

But by the time the video was filmed—at the very end of the day—the excitement had clearly given way to sensory overload. The twins sat silently, absorbing everything around them, looking, as Lucy put it, "completely shellshocked" for several minutes.

In her caption, she said that city life "ain’t for the twins."

Lucy posted the clip to TikTok later that evening without much thought, only to be stunned by the response.

The video has racked up over 4.1 million views. The twins’ deadpan expressions quickly drew hundreds of comments, with users joking that the kids looked like they come straight out of a children’s novel.

As for whether the twins will face another big‑city test, Lucy already has plans in mind. "I think New York needs to be next on our list," she said. "We can see what they think."
