The anticipation of collecting takeout and bringing it home to eat is one of life's little joys, but one woman has told Newsweek how when she ordered her chicken to go, it went flying.

If you've ever experienced the regret of your order being wrong, cold, or just plain disappointing, you are at least safe in the knowledge that it wasn't your fault.

But for Bella Lindsay, from Eastbourne, England, she only had herself to blame when she left her food on the roof of her car.

The 19-year-old told Newsweek she was trying fast food chain Wingstop for the first time, and initially put the takeout bag on the car roof while getting into the vehicle as she "didn't want to put my prized chicken tenders on the floor."

But, distracted by a text from her mother that it was Lasagna Awareness Month—which, yes, is a real thing—she sat into the passenger seat and forgot her food.

"Little did I know what tragedy was in store," she joked. "Fast forward about 5 minutes, I'm sat in the passenger seat and I see something fly from the corner of my eyes. Low and behold it was only my chicken tenders."

In a video shared to her TikTok account @.bellalindsay, Lindsay recorded herself getting out of the vehicle and running to her fallen takeout bag—only to find it was still in one piece, and had miraculously landed right-side up.

At this point she let out the type of cheer usually reserved for a major sports event, followed by a laugh, as she captioned the clip: "POV: I accidentally left Wingstop on top of the car but when it flew off it landed upright."

She told Newsweek: "I've never seen chickens fly that far before," admitting she expected "carnage" but "the heavens were good to me that day."

Lindsay pointed out that Wingstop is one of the only stores in her local area that offers ranch, as the sauce isn't overly popular in the UK. And "not only was the bag sat upright, even my sauces were fully closed," she said. "I was able to sit and enjoy my well-deserved meal."

The U.S. fast food chain first opened in 1997, but only made it to the UK over 20 years later, in 2018, after opening it's first-ever international store in Mexico in 2015.

Since then, Wingstop has set up more than 48 restaurants across the U.K.

TikTok users were left in bits by the lighthearted video, which has racked up over 50,000 likes and 700,000 views since being shared on July 20

One commenter suggested "Wingstop should sponsor you" for all the publicity she's accidentally given the chain, while another admitted "I did that once with my coffee."

"I left my Starbucks on top of mine before and didn't realize until I got home then cried," another shared, while one told Lindsay "THE UNIVERSE IS ON UR SIDE."
