Old Vera Coins are a special currency in Tower of Fantasy. Players can acquire Old Vera Coin naturally by exploring the dusty deserts around the Vera region. While the currency isn't used to purchase items from the in-game store, you can actually use them to interact with special "out-of-market" gachapon machines hidden around the game world.
These machines, when interacted with, will give players various rewards that are all chosen randomly, using similar mechanics to the game's other "drawing" systems. The machines can be found in Mirroria, a giant, obelisk-shaped city that floats in the skies of Vera. If you head to Mirafleur hall, a small district to the south of the Oasis Club, you'll find the machine waiting for you.
But, if you're going to maximize your rewards here, you're going to need a lot more Old Vera Coins than you can get just from wandering around the deserts. Instead, players will want to take advantage of a few key ways to farm for Old Vera Coins. Much like Genshin Impact, another gacha-heavy game that is popular right now, players can take part in combat, exploration, and puzzles to farm for this useful currency.

While Tower of Fantasy players received free Dark Crystals back around the game's launch, you'll need to work for your Old Vera Coins. One of the best ways to farm for these useful coins is to take part in Vera Bounties, which require you to hunt down and defeat specific targets within the region. When completed, these bounties will reward players with around 20 Old Vera Coins, allowing them to complete yet another draw from the gachapone machines in Mirroria.
If you're just starting out your journey in Tower of Fantasy, you might also want to look into Newsweek's guide on how to fix the Wanderer creation limit. This problem has plagued players since the game's release and continues to be an annoyance for some.
You can also collect Old Vera Coins from Level 1 and Level 2 Pods found throughout the world. These will also drop other rare items, like Gold Nuclei. Once you've managed to round up a nice chunk of Old Vera Coins, head to the machines and start drawing.
There is a chance to acquire some nice materials, like Weapon Batteries, Red Nuclei, Crystals, Dark Crystals, and more. All of these items can help you along your journey through Tower of Fantasy, so make sure to take advantage of the extra pulls while they're available to you.
