Subway has announced a new year-inspired menu, which is available at participating U.S. Subway locations from January 8, and is centered around “big flavor, quality ingredients, and unbeatable value,” according to the Subway press release.

Protein Pockets
The Protein Pocket is a soft wheat-flavored tortilla that customers can fill with one of four Subway-curated proteins, vegetables, and sauce combinations:
- Baja Chicken: Grilled chicken, cheese, smoky chipotle sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and jalapeños.
- Peppercorn Ranch Chicken: Grilled chicken, cheddar, peppercorn ranch sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles.
- Italian Trio: Black Forest ham, pepperoni, Genoa salami, provolone, garlic aioli, banana peppers, lettuce, and tomatoes.
- Turkey and Ham: Oven-roasted turkey, Black Forest ham, provolone, honey mustard, lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes.
Each Protein Pocket (which costs around $3.99) has been designed to provide more than 20 grams of protein.
Sub of the Day
Alongside Protein Pockets, Subway has also launched a new “Sub of the Day” program.
From Monday to Sunday, customers can buy a different six-inch “Sub of the Day,” according to what day of the week it is, for $4.99 (or upgrade to a full meal—including chips (or cookies) and a drink—for an extra $2).
The daily rotations are:
- Meatball Monday: Meatball Marinara
- Tuna Tuesday: Classic Tuna
- Sweet Onion Wednesday: Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki
- Turkey Thursday: Oven-Roasted Turkey
- Forest Ham Friday: Black Forest Ham
- BMT Saturday: Italian B.M.T. (Biggest Meatiest Tastiest)
- Spicy Italian Sunday: Spicy Italian
These new updates follow the launch of Sub Club, Subway's new loyalty reward program, which it launched in December. Members of Sub Club can get every fourth footlong sub for free at participating locations.
What Subway Is Saying
Dave Skena, chief marketing officer, North America, Subway Restaurants, said: “Getting more protein in their diet is important to so many people. But all too often that protein is expensive or fried. With Subway’s new Protein Pockets, they can get over 20 grams of protein for $3.99 without sacrificing taste.”
“With our new Sub of the Day lineup, our featured 6” subs are only $4.99. In 2026, folks can eat freshly made, delicious food at a great value every time they come to Subway.”
According to the official press release, the Protein Pockets and Sub of the Day promotions are available for a limited time at participating Subway locations across the United States.
Prices may be higher in Alaska and Hawaii, and additional fees apply to delivery orders.
