Speculation continues to run rampant on what Brock Lesnar will do at "WrestleMania 42," but a new report has revealed what the actual internal discussion has been. Bodyslam.net reports that WWE has talked about a possible clash between Lesnar and rising star Oba Femi for the professional wrestling company's biggest annual show.

WWE planted the seeds for a potential rivalry between "The Beast" and "The Ruler" during the "Royal Rumble 2026" show in Saudi Arabia. The two had some striking and grappling exchanges during the match before Lesnar eliminated Femi. Multiple reports have claimed that the matchup isn't set in stone for "WrestleMania" in Las Vegas this April, but it does appear to be leaning in that direction.

Another Option for Brock Lesnar?

If Lesnar doesn't end up meeting Femi at "WrestleMania 42," then Gunther could serve as a likely dance partner. The issue with that would be Lesnar is reportedly being factored into plans for "SummerSlam 2026." That event will take place in Lesnar's hometown of Minneapolis.

Gunther has been on a run of retiring aging WWE stars, and with rumors of Lesnar's possible exit from the industry, it might be best to save such a match for early August. Gunther forced John Cena to tap out in the surefire future WWE Hall of Famer's retirement match. "The Ring General" then defeated AJ Styles at the "Royal Rumble" event, forcing the "Phenomenal" one to retire.

Many argue that Femi would be the better choice to face Lesnar on "The Grandest Stage of Them All," as it would be a big showcase match for the former NXT Champion. The general consensus is that Femi is the future of WWE, and the company reportedly views his potential the same way they do Bron Breakker, who is currently out of action after undergoing hernia surgery.
