Details have surfaced on the contract of one prominent "WWE SmackDown" name. JC Mateo, known to NJPW fans by his real name Jeff Cobb, signed with WWE back earlier this year. Fightful reports that Mateo's deal is for three years and is set to expire in spring 2028.

Mateo has been a member of the MFT faction since making his WWE debut back in May. The stable is led by Solo Sikoa, who was once known as "The Enforcer" of The Bloodline.

JC Mateo and MFT's Current Feud

Mateo has been active on "Friday Night SmackDown" along with fellow MFT members Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Talla Tonga. The MFT group is currently feuding with another top stable, the Wyatt Sicks. Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy of the Wyatt Sicks are the reigning WWE Tag Team Champions.

During the Dec. 5 episode of "WWE SmackDown," Sikoa made things personal with Uncle Howdy in an in-ring promo. Sikoa said that Howdy is unworthy of the Wyatt name, and he even mentioned his rival's old Bo Dallas character. This led to a brawl between both the MFT and the Wyatt Sicks.

Mateo has been viewed as the muscle of the MFT, and he often bails out his stablemates when called upon. Talla has also given the faction a boost due to his size. It appears two members of the MFT are due for a tag team title shot. Whether or not Tama and Loa, formerly known as Guerrillas Of Destiny, will get a chance to hold the gold once again remains to be seen.
