The road to WrestleMania 42 is at a blistering pace, and everything is up in the air on the "Friday Night SmackDown" side of things.
While we know Roman Reigns and CM Punk are set for a blood feud and main event match for the world heavyweight title at the biggest show of the year, there is still endless possibilities about what the men's marquee match from "SmackDown" will be.
We do know one thing: Randy Orton will be vying for the title following his victory at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event that confirmed him as the No. 1 contender for the WWE championship.

But although Drew McIntyre is currently the champion, that might not be the case in two nights as he is set to face Cody Rhodes for the championship on Friday in Portland, Oregon.
Per multiple reports, McIntyre is scheduled to lose the championship to Rhodes on Friday.
The penciled-in main event of Saturday's WrestleMania 42 card is Rhodes, back with the title, defending it against his longtime close friend and mentor Orton in a match that fans have been demanding since Rhodes returned to the WWE at WrestleMania 38.
For McIntyre, per those same reports, he will move into a feud with Jacob Fatu, as the two had constant confrontations for the past few months.
One major reason why McIntyre might be being pulled from the main event slot is about his future with the company, as stated in a new report by BodySlam.net.
Win or lose at WrestleMania 42, McIntyre is not expected on WWE television following the Las Vegas spectacle.
Why?
He's shooting a movie, having been cast in the remake of "Highlander," directed by Chad Stahelski of "John Wick" fame.
Similar to Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns last year, who left WWE to film "Street Fighter" following 'Mania, this year it will be another one of their most recognizable faces getting their start in Hollywood.
