Before Seth Rollins inked a deal with WWE back in 2010, he was on the verge of signing with TNA Wrestling. Rollins' stock soared when he was known as Tyler Black under the Ring of Honor banner. Rollins became a top ROH star and even held the promotion's world title.

Eventually, Rollins felt he did all he could in ROH and on the indie scene. He was hoping to sign a contract with WWE. As his responses continued to go unanswered, TNA Wrestling presented a lucrative offer to Rollins.

Seth Rollins Finally Got WWE Offer

Speaking to Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe on "Club Shay Shay," Rollins reflected on nearly accepting TNA Wrestling's offer before getting the phone call that he truly wanted.

"I was trying to shop myself to some of the other smaller companies at the time, and I wasn't getting any call back from WWE," Rollins said. "Nobody was picking up. Nobody was answering emails. So, I had a deal on the table for another company with TNA.

"I was like, 'You know what? I don't know if I want to sign this deal. WWE is where I want to be.' So, I made one final call. I said, 'Hey look, I'm going to sign this deal with TNA if I don't hear back from you.' It's like Sunday night. I'm like, 'I'm gonna sign it in the morning.' Fifteen minutes later, [John Laurinaitis] calls me back, 'Hey kid, let me talk to my people.'"

Rollins admitted he couldn't sleep that night while he was waiting for WWE's follow-up. He was ultimately given an offer, and he said he didn't care about the money. Rollins claimed TNA Wrestling offered him "at least triple" the money that the WWE contract was worth.

"The Visionary's" decision to forgo the money at the time paid off. Rollins has been a consistent headliner in WWE for over a decade. He is also currently one of the company's top earners.
