Former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston has reportedly re-signed with WWE. A new report states that the long-time veteran has agreed to a new long-term contract with the company.

The news, first reported by Fightful Select, comes just one day after it was revealed that his New Day stablemate, Xavier Woods, had also signed a new multi-year deal.

According to the report, Kingston re-signed with the company "at some point earlier this year." Sources within WWE believe the new contract is for five years, which would keep the popular superstar with the promotion until 2030.

Kingston is one of the most decorated performers in WWE history. His most celebrated achievement came at WrestleMania 35, where he defeated Daniel Bryan to win the WWE Championship in a moment widely known as "KofiMania."

He is also one of the most accomplished tag team wrestlers in the company's history, holding a record number of tag team championships as a member of The New Day. In addition to his world and tag team titles, Kingston is also a multi-time Intercontinental and United States Champion.

Kingston and Xavier Woods have recently reinvented themselves on the Raw brand with a new heel persona. The change in attitude led them to another World Tag Team Championship victory at WrestleMania 41, where they held the titles for 72 days.

With both Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods now locked into new long-term deals, The New Day's future on Monday Night Raw is secure. The duo is not currently scheduled for a match at this Saturday's Crown Jewel premium live event, but they are expected to be a major part of the tag team division on the road to Survivor Series in November.
