During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, multi-time WWE Women's Champion, inaugural Divas Champion, and wife to The Undertaker Michelle McCool revealed that she learned of the controversial booking and that it made her "hot."
"I did. I think he told me early in the afternoon, when they made that decision I was hot," McCool said. "Why? That doesn't make sense! And of course, he's like, 'His business. That's his call.'"
McCool went on to discuss how Edge, now known as Adam Copeland/Cope in AEW, was originally supposed to end The Streak previously but he didn't out of respect.
"I knew that it had been pitched that Edge break the streak years prior," McCool said. "But Adam said 'No, there's no rhyme or reason that I need to break the streak, that the streak needs to be broken, that I want to have any part of that.' And he didn't. Mad respect, but, yeah, not a good night."
McCool went on to describe the physical toll the match had on Undertaker, revealing he was in the hospital soon afterward.

Given how beloved The Undertaker is to WWE and professional wrestling fans everywhere, it will likely be argued forever whether Lesnar ending The Streak was the right decision.
While The Streak could have been a way to elevate an up-and-coming younger talent, it cannot be denied that Lesnar pinning Taker at WrestleMania XXX established him as a true monster and one of the most dominant Superstars in WWE history.
