Indiana Fever guard has something to say.
Well, a lot of things to say, and she said them all during an appearance on the “This Past Weekend” podcast with Theo Von on Wednesday. And we aren’t exaggerating when we say ALL the things. Including stalkers, the national anthem, a guy named Kevin and how she once got clocked in an attempt to protect WNBA legend Brittney Griner.
“Brittney Griner gets the worst rap,” the controversial basketball player said of her former Phoenix Mercury teammate. “She’s the coolest person you will ever meet, swear to God. She’s down to earth, she’s country, just chill. She’s the best.”

Cunningham claimed there was an incident at the airport in which she and other players had to step up and protect Griner.
“We had zero security, and we got swarmed,” she said. “They were all going after her a little bit, so we all, as players, put a circle around her.”
According to Cunningham, it was one guy on security detail who managed to make things worse for the players around her.
“There was one guy who was kind of our security,” she noted. “He was carrying her Louis Vuitton bags, and when he ran to push people away, he threw the bags, and it came back and cracked me right in the nose.
“I was like ‘[expletive], I was trying to help, but I just get cracked by a $5,000 bag right in my schnoz.’ Black eye the next day. It was great.”
Cunningham is known for her more shocking statements, including comments against Las Vegas Ace’s star A’ja Wilson and her remarks about the transgender community playing in sports, which she has claimed time and time again that she is against.
Griner has said things about her former teammate in the past.
“Playing against her, it’s annoying as crap,” Griner said back in July when she and her team, the Connecticut Sun, had to face Cunningham and the Fever. “But when she’s your teammate, you wouldn’t want anybody else.”
