During an appearance on “This Past Weekend” podcast, controversial Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham divulged that a higher government power had to step in due to a bad stalking issue.
Cunningham said that the FBI has tabs on 20 people over stalking concerns.
“We’ll have to check if I’m even allowed to say this,” the guard noted. “I like have, I think, 20, I think, people kind of that the FBI are watching for me. Me alone.”

She opened up on the fact that multiple players – not just her – have been facing these issues since the league is on a meteoritic rise.
“We do have a lot of stalkers. I know I do. And like that’s a negative side of things that people don’t think about. And so you do want to feel secure.”
Cunningham has found herself in the center of a dust storm that she herself has helped kick up with her constant critical aim toward Las Vegas Aces superstar A’ja Wilson, the LGBTQ+ community and her take on WNBA players skipping the national anthem – which she touched base on during her recent pod appearance.
“This has been happening throughout the whole season,” she said. “This isn’t like anything new, people are getting mad about it now but it’s happened the whole season. I don’t know. I just feel like personally, I have a lot – I’m grateful and support the people who serve. We have family members who have served and they’re over there doing (things) that are unimaginable for us to out here living our dreams and having the freedoms that we live. Anytime that I can shout out our veterans and the people who are currently fighting for us to live in the best country, I’m going to show that support, I’m going to give them love.
“That’s where I stand. That doesn’t mean that’s where everyone stands and if it’s right, wrong, whatever. I take a lot of pride in where I come from and I’m proud to be an American citizen.”
