Patrick Reed won the DP World Tour's Qatar Masters and now has two victories this year on the European circuit. Reed capped a pivotal early-season stretch on Sunday, posting a final-round 70 to win the event with a 16-under 272. The victory marks his second title in three weeks and underscores a swift resurgence since returning full-time to the DP World Tour.

The American began the year completing his stint with LIV Golf, where he notched one victory — Dallas in 2025 — amid several solid performances before departing the breakaway circuit. After rejoining the DP World Tour, Reed has quickly reestablished himself as a force, already securing two tournament wins in his opening run of events.

Just weeks ago, Reed lifted the Hero Dubai Desert Classic trophy while questions still lingered about his long-term future. He later disclosed that negotiations to renew his contract with the Saudi-backed league had fallen through and that the PGA Tour had agreed to welcome him back, though any return to that circuit will have to wait until mid-2026.

In the meantime, Reed is maximizing his opportunities in Europe. The former Masters champion is positioning himself to become the highest-ranked player in the world competing exclusively in DP World Tour events in many years, with projections indicating he could rise to No. 17 in the Official World Golf Ranking when the next update is released Monday.

The 35-year-old handled the pressure of the final round in Qatar with composure, steering clear of costly errors as his nearest challengers failed to mount a decisive charge. Dependable iron play and steady putting over the closing holes allowed Reed to protect his advantage and close out another wire-to-wire stretch of form.

With two wins and a second-place finish in his last three starts since leaving LIV, Reed has become the form player on the DP World Tour. His surge adds another storyline to the global golf landscape as he awaits his opportunity to rejoin the PGA Tour later this very year.
