Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray is pushing for the starting job this year, and he put in some extra work with wide receiver Jordan Addison this offseason.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that Murray and Addison "have been working out together for the past two months in Dallas." Schultz posted a video of Murray throwing to Addison at Allen High School stadium, and Addison was catching deep throws from Murray at midfield with ease.
"Both players reported to Minnesota early this week to prepare for the start of training camp, with hopes of a big year ahead," Schultz wrote.

This will indeed create hype for Vikings fans, as Murray was a former No. 1 pick who wants to rebuild his career in Minnesota. Murray had ups and downs with the Cardinals, from four 3,000-yard seasons to last year's debacle where he was benched for Jacoby Brissett.
The Vikings brought in Murray to compete with J.J. McCarthy for the starting job, as McCarthy struggled in 2025 with more interceptions than touchdowns. Minnesota's offense sank last year despite talented receivers such as Addison and Justin Jefferson, and the Vikings need to right the ship on that fast with Addison and Jefferson in their primes.

Addison had more than 60 receptions, at least 875 yards and nine touchdowns between 2024 and 2025 when former Vikings quarterbacks Sam Darnold or Kirk Cousins were throwing the ball. Last year, Addison had just 42 receptions for 610 yards and three touchdowns with McCarthy, Carson Wentz and Max Brosmer throwing the ball.
Addison's investment in Murray could be a tip of the cap on where he hopes the Vikings lean for a starting quarterback, but the official work begins in the coming week when training camp arrives. Minnesota will have a quarterback competition to watch, and Addison and Jefferson are highly interested in how that will look on the receiving end.
