Two running backs in the AFC South are drawing attention before the trade deadline on Tuesday.
Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor is the biggest star being talked about, but he would come at a hefty price for any postseason contender this season. Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard is another potential option at the deadline, and he could be in play for two contenders in the NFC.
Per Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, the New York Giants, Denver Broncos, and Minnesota Vikings have "inquired" and "discussed" trading for Taylor. However, the latter two are less serious about making a trade for Taylor at the moment.

The Colts are expected to ask for a first-round pick, or at the very least, a package that would be close to what the Carolina Panthers got for Christian McCaffrey in 2022.
Pollard would be a much cheaper option for the Broncos or Vikings. Per Breer, the Titans are listening to offers on Pollard and receiver Calvin Ridley after trading Jeffery Simmons to the Chicago Bears last week. Tennessee would be expected to receive at least a fourth-round pick for Pollard.
Pollard, 29, has rushed for 595 yards and six touchdowns on 133 carries (4.5 yards per rush) this season. He's added another 70 yards in receptions. In comparison, Taylor, 27, has rushed for 610 yards and eight touchdowns on 148 carries (4.1 yards per rush). He's caught 21 passes for 202 yards.
Taylor signed a two-year contract extension worth $44 million (with $39 million guaranteed) in August. He'd be locked down through the 2028 season.
Taylor is still the big prize between the two backs, but his market price might be too rich for the Vikings and Broncos. The Giants aren't ready to part with what the Colts want just yet, but they remain more serious about a trade than the Broncos and Vikings.
