The Tennessee Titans decided to fire head coach Brian Callahan, a decision that seemed like it made sense and was only a matter of time.

It's a tough situation for rookie quarterback Cam Ward to be in, but it's the reality of the situation.

This isn't the first time, and certainly won't be the last, as it's happened with multiple head coaches in the past few years who had the top pick in the previous draft.

Regarding what Ward is looking for, it's essential that the Titans seek an offense-minded head coach to pair with someone who can establish him as one of the elite players in the NFL.

“It doesn’t frustrate me. I’ve dealt with coaching changes at really every stop I’ve had in my past, so that’s not the— I’m not frustrated with that. The biggest thing is we’re trying to score points as an offense,” Ward said, per AtoZ Sports.

Ward admitted that he wants someone who can do things from top to bottom on both sides of the football. That likely isn't too easy, given that coordinators need a job, too, but he wants someone who understands the offense and defensive systems in and out.

“Somebody who can really do everything from top to bottom, and that’s both sides of the ball,” Ward explained on Wednesday. “Offense, defense, they know the system in and out. And I think the biggest things is how is the coach going to be with players. How’s he going to comrade the locker room. You have all different types of personalities in our locker room. And whoever we get, I know they’ll be the right hire. But that’s not really my main focus right now. I’m with Coach (Mike) McCoy right now, we’re going to try to win some games.”

It's interesting to hear Ward say that he wants to have a head coach come in and be a good locker room guy, perhaps throwing a shot at Callahan.

Regardless of whether it was or not, Ward hasn't exactly had the best rookie season, throwing for 1,101 yards, just three touchdowns, and four interceptions in six games.

However, none of that can really be blamed on him due to the talent around him.
