Training camp is officially underway for several NFL teams while others will be easing into camp throughout the next week.

The Arizona Cardinals and Carolina Panthers kick off the 2026 preseason with their Hall of Fame Game clash on Thursday, Aug. 6 on NBC, and Week 1 of the preseason officially kicks off the following week on Aug. 13.

As we count down the days until the start of the NFL regular season — which kicks off with a Super Bowl LX rematch between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots on “Sunday Night Football” on Sept. 9 — we continue to look at key offseason storylines for each of the league’s 32 teams.

This week, we’re looking as the players most in danger of being cut during the preseason, and we’ve arrived at the Baltimore Ravens.

Baltimore Ravens DT Broderick Washington

...

Broderick Washington, DT

When it comes to defensive tackles, the Ravens are one of the deeper teams in the league at that position.

Nnamdi Madubuike, John Jenkins, and C.J. Okoye are Baltimore’s top three DTs, and they have plenty of veteran presence with Travis Jones, David Olajiga, Aeneas Peebles, and Dion Wilson Jr. plus they have two rookies — Rayshaun Benny and Aaron Graves — battling for spots as well.

This leaves Washington vulnerable to being cut. The 29-year-old played in just three games last year due to injury, and he’s not all too affective when he is on the field (he’s totaled just 10.5 run stuffs, six sacks, and two fumble recoveries in six seasons with the Ravens. Cutting Washington would allow for some younger players to earn some playing time while also clearing $4 million in cap space.

Andrew Vorhees, OG

The Ravens signed John Simpson to a three-year, $30 million contract this offseason, presumably to take over as one of their starting guards. With last year’s starting right guard Daniel Faalele now with the New York Giants, that opens the door for 2026 first-round pick Olaivavega Ioane to win the other guard spot.

This seemingly leaving Vorhees as the odd man out. It seems unlikely Baltimore would be content paying a combined $26.96 million ($14.96 million to Ioane, $12 million for Simpson) to two players who weren’t starting.

Cutting Vorhees seems like an eventuality, barring anything crazy happening in camp or a big injury somewhere, and it would free up $3.67 million in cap space.
