The Pittsburgh Steelers are having a good start to the season, as they have a 5-2 record.

The Steelers are also showing no signs of slowing down. They have won each of their last three games, including a 16-10 win over the New Orleans Saints in their last game.

With this, the Steelers are setting themselves up to be prime buyers ahead of the trade deadline. One of their biggest needs is another wide receiver to help boost their offense. Due to this, they are now being linked to an interesting wide receiver from the Indianapolis Colts.

With the Steelers needing another impactful wide receiver, Downs would be an intriguing player for them to add to their roster. The Colts are expected to be big sellers this year, and a player like Downs could be made available because of it. Thus, it would make sense for Pittsburgh to have him on their radar ahead of the deadline.

Downs has appeared in seven games this season with the Colts, where he has posted 26 receptions and 307 receiving yards. This is after he recorded four touchdowns, 58 receptions, and 566 receiving yards in 16 games last season for Indianapolis. With totals like these, Downs could be a perfect fit on a Steelers team that is looking to boost its offense. It will be interesting to see if they target the 25-year-old wide receiver ahead of the deadline because of it from here.
