Seattle Seahawks rookie running back Jadarian Price was free from any designation on the team's final injury report of the week after he has spent the past four weeks on injured reserve with a chest injury that he suffered in Week 3.

However, the team oddly revealed it may not be in a rush to get him back on the field.

Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald recently shared that just because Price is healthy, it doesn't mean he will be activated from injured reserved and suit up for the team's Monday night game against the Chicago Bears.

“We have a plan for Zach [Charbonnet]” Macdonald said via Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. “If we were to make a move, that would happen on Monday to my knowledge. We’ll see if that’s what we do. We have some things going on roster wise that we’re working through right now, but we have a plan for Zach.”

It could be that Macdonald is just playing some mind games with the Bears ahead of their matchup, but if what he said is true, it's certainly a bit of a head-scratching decision by the Seahawks.

Seattle has been forced to rely on backup running backs Emanuel Wilson and George Holani, so it's safe to say Price would provide a massive upgrade to the team's ground attack.

Charbonnet does seem to be on track to return to the field on Monday night as he's been working his way back from a torn ACL, but there are a lot of questions as to what type of player he'll be coming off a serious injury.

Before Price went down with his injury, he looked like the real deal, rushing for 119 yards on 28 carries (4.3 yards per carry) while also reeling in four catches for another 21 yards.

If he can pick up where he left off, the Seahawks will be even more equipped to defend their Super Bowl title this season.

The No. 32 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, Price played college football at Notre Dame, where he rushed for 1,692 yards and 21 touchdowns behind No. 3 overall pick Jeremiyah Love from 2023-25.
