The San Francisco 49ers have gone through a lot of adversity this season, but were able to overcome it to get into the playoffs and are now preparing to face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in an NFC Wild Card matchup.
Injuries have once again plagued Kyle Shanahan's football team. Among the injuries they have faced this season are multiple Brock Purdy issues, George Kittle missing time, Brandon Aiyuk not playing at all, Nick Bosa going down with a torn ACL, and many other key players also missing time or being out for the year.
Leading up to this weekend's game against the Eagles, there have been some injuries to monitor for the 49ers.

One key situation has been the status of star left tackle Trent Williams. At 37 years old, Williams is still one of the cornerstones of the San Francisco offense, but he has been dealing with a hamstring injury of late.

Ahead of Sunday's game, the 49ers have received a very positive update on Williams' status.
Williams himself spoke out with an update about himself. He provided optimism that he'll be able to play and that he's feeling healthy.
“I feel good,” Williams said. “We’ll see. I feel confident.”
He continued on, talking about his excitement to play the Eagles on the road in a hostile environment.
“Anytime you go in there, it’s eventful,” he said. “You are going to see a lot of middle fingers. You’re going into the Belly of the Beast.”
Despite all of the injuries San Francisco has dealt with this season, the 49ers were able to finish the year with a 12-5 record. They were able to compete for the NFC West division title all season long. While they came up short, there is nothing to hang their heads about.

Should San Francisco have had better luck in the injury department, fans can only wonder how good the team could have been. For now, the question remains about whether or not the 49ers can continue overcoming adversity in the playoffs.
Hopefully, Williams is able to play on Sunday afternoon. To beat Philadelphia on the road is a difficult task. Having to accomplish that without a star like Williams on the field would make things much more difficult.
