Jones ends the 2025 season with 3,101 yards, 19 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. This is also his second season-ending injury. He suffered a torn ACL in the 2023 season.

Jones spent the majority of his career with the New York Giants, where he was hit plenty behind the weak offensive line. After taking punishment for multiple seasons, he fell out of favor with Brian Daboll and was released.

Jones would spend the 2024 season backing up Sam Darnold. In 2025, the Colts signed Daniels, and he competed with Anthony Richardson for the starting quarterback job.

Jones was announced as the starter, and he began to put together an impressive season. The Colts' offense was humming, and the team won seven of their first eight games. Recently, Indianapolis has struggled a bit, losing three in a row.

The most recent loss was certainly due to the Colts losing Jones early on. At 8-5, the team might now be at a major loss with Richardson on IR.

Jones is likely going to be ready to start by Week 1 of the 2026 season, but the Colts will need to make a decision on bringing him back in the coming months. Either way, this is a brutal end to his fantastic season.
