The Baltimore Ravens have been given a massive injury update on quarterback Lamar Jackson. He missed multiple practices this week and there was some concern that he could miss Week 9 against the Denver Broncos.

But Jackson has returned to practice today and is likely to play now. This is a massive update and great news for the Ravens.

Getting Jackson back for this game will be huge for the Ravens as they dropped a tough game last week to the Cleveland Browns. Both the Broncos and Ravens hold the same record on the year so this game could determine seeding down the stretch of the season if they were to both reach the postseason.

Jackson has been playing lights out to start the season, throwing for 2,099 yards with 17 touchdown passes and just two interceptions. He has also rushed for 501 yards on the ground with two scores.

His dual-threat abilities have been on full display and it has helped the Ravens' offense become one of the more dynamic units in the NFL. Baltimore has changed their offensive attack to fully meet the needs of Jackson and his play style over the years.

Offensive coordinator Todd Monken has revolutionized the Baltimore attack over the past year-plus and it has resulted in a lot of success on the field. The Ravens were the No. 1 seed in the AFC a year ago and look like a problem once again.

Jackson will be matched up against Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix in this game. Nix was hopeful that Jackson could give it a go as he had been looking forward to their matchup since entering the league.

"He was electric in that one, too," Nix said, noting that he'd never met Jackson in person. "I'm excited to play against him on the same level. It's still crazy I get to play against these guys. Growing up and watching him, he's a two-time MVP and he's been doing it for a few years now at a high level.

The Broncos' defense could give the Ravens some fits so having Jackson under center will certainly help things. He has the ability to take over a game at any time and Baltimore desperately needs this win at home to keep momentum going strong.
