Safety Kyle Hamilton stated he expects to play on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers in a crucial AFC North showdown for first place. Hamilton has been nursing an ankle injury he sustained late in the first half of Baltimore's 35-34 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on November 7.
Although Hamilton sat out Wednesday's practice, he returned on Thursday as a limited participant. Head coach John Harbaugh also shared a positive outlook regarding Hamilton's availability for the game against Pittsburgh. When asked in a press conference whether he was optimistic about the safety's return, Harbaugh simply answered, "I am, yeah."

Kyle Hamilton was sidelined for the second half of Week 10's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, leaving the Baltimore Ravens without their top defensive back in what turned out to be a 35-34 victory.
Hamilton injured his left ankle with 1:09 remaining in the first half, twisting it without any contact from an opposing player. He limped off the field and headed straight to the locker room. Since then, it has been doubtful whether the safety would be back in time for Week 11.
With 71 tackles, seven passes defensed, two sacks, three tackles for loss, and one forced fumble, Kyle Hamilton ranks second on the Ravens in both tackles and passes defensed. He is also the team's highest-graded defender on Pro Football Focus by a considerable margin.

As the Ravens prepare to face Pittsburgh's hot offense, led by veteran quarterback Russell Wilson, having Hamilton available would greatly improve their chances of turning around their 27th-ranked defense. Hamilton has only missed three games in his NFL career, making his presence even more crucial for Baltimore.
Hamilton has earned several prestigious honors in his young NFL career. In 2023, he was named to both the AP First-Team All-Pro and NFLPA First-Team All-Pro, recognizing his elite play at safety. He also earned a spot on the AFC Pro Bowl Team that same year.
Hamilton was selected to the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2022 following a standout debut season. Additionally, he was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 16 of the 2023 season, further solidifying his reputation as one of the league's top defensive talents.
In short, having Hamilton back on the field to face the Steelers will be a huge boost for the Ravens. Hopefully, for the Ravens, Harbaugh's optimism will be rewarded.
