Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers has been on and off the field through the first six games of the 2025 season as he continues to deal with the knee injury he suffered in a Week 1 win over the New England Patriots.
Bowers battled through the injury in Weeks 2-4, but never quite looked like himself. The second-year TE suffered a setback in his PCL sprain recovery in Week 4, and was subsequently ruled out for each of the Raiders' next two games.
Next Sunday, the Raiders will face the Kansas City Chiefs in a Week 7 matchup. After that, the team will enter its Week 8 bye.

On Monday, Raiders head coach Pete Carroll suggested that Bowers may not return to the field until after the Raiders' bye week.
"We're looking after him. There's a big bye coming up and all that stuff next week," Carroll told reporters. "That's a couple weeks [of rest] you get before you have to come back. I'm optimistic always, but that doesn't mean we're getting him back. You look at the long haul of it, it might be best to just guarantee that he's full speed and back. We'll see how we handle that."

Bowers reeled in five catches for 108 yards before suffering his PCL sprain in Week 1. Over the next three weeks, he never recorded more than 46 yards.
Bowers has already proven his ability as one of the best tight ends in the NFL when healthy. Through 17 games in 2024, the No. 13 overall pick out of Georgia reeled in 112 catches for 1,194 yards and five touchdowns — setting an all-time rookie record for both receptions and receiving yards.
Likely without Bowers, the Raiders will kickoff against the Chiefs a 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
