Nine months removed from the torn ACL/LCL injury he suffered during Week 15 of the 2025 season, Patrick Mahomes returned to the field for the Kansas City Chiefs' season-opening matchup against the Denver Broncos on Monday night.

Mahomes surgically-repaired left knee looked good upon his return. The Chiefs' superstar quarterback kicked off the scoring with a rushing touchdown on a QB scramble, showing supreme confidence in his ability to move.

Mahomes finished Monday night's dominant 31-10 victory with 184 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, 23 rushing yards and one rushing score.
