Josh Jacobs did not participate in the Green Bay Packers' training camp practice on Thursday, designated with a new groin injury.
According to multiple reports from team insiders, this is not expected to be a long-term issue.
"Jacobs has a groin injury that's not a long-term concern, but it kept him out of Thursday's practice and in all likelihood will keep him sidelined for Family Night on Friday," Mike Spofford of the team's official website reports.

Jacobs dealt with multiple injury issues in his second season with the Packers in 2025. Through 15 game appearances, the 28-year-old running back recorded 929 yards and 13 rushing touchdowns, while reeling in 36 catches for 282 yards and one more score.
MarShawn Lloyd and Pierre Strong Jr. are the healthy running back options behind Jacobs. Chris Brooks is on the non-football injury list due to a hamstring injury he suffered before the start of training camp.
