The Los Angeles Chargers left SoFi Stadium last week with a 31-14 win over the division rival Las Vegas Raiders, but it was nearly a costly victory given what happened to star quarterback Justin Herbert.

The Pro Bowl signal-caller left last weekend’s game against the Raiders after suffering a broken non-throwing hand. Though he returned after the injury, he took several questionable shots on his injured hand after.

Herbert is listed as questionable for L.A.’s Week 14 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles on “Monday Night Football” after having surgery to his fractured hand on Dec. 1.

During that Raiders game, though, there was a moment involving arguably the two biggest players on the field when Herbert was shoved to the turf by Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby, resulting in a 15-yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct, though some fans contested the flag on social media given Herbert wasn't shoved violently.

Many believed Crosby would also receive additional punishment from the NFL when it released its list of weekly fines on Saturday, but the All-Pro pass-rusher avoided taking a hit to the wallet as his name was noticeably absent.

Per the NFL rule book, players can face fines of $14,491 for a first offense unsportsmanlike conduct, which escalates to $20,288 for second offenses.

Crosby shared his thoughts on the Herbert incident on his “The Rush” podcast.

“Yeah, they’re going to get special treatment when it comes to that kind of stuff,” Crosby stated. “If it was a lineman and he flopped like that, they probably wouldn’t call it. If you’re going to talk [expletive] then talk [expletive]. You know, I’m running away and I hear him — there’s nobody around, he’s screaming in my ear like on purpose.

“Of course I’m pissed off, and I gave him like a little love tap and he flopped like crazy. He did a good job. I shouldn’t have even reacted in general. That’s on me, but I respect him.”
