Former Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion led the SEC with nine receiving touchdowns and 25 punt returns for 456 yards and two touchdowns en route to All-American honors last season. Yet, his athleticism is not the most impressive thing he displayed at the 2026 NFL Combine in Indianapolis over the weekend.

Concepcion, like many prospects at the Combine, met with reporters. A clip of Concepcion discussing his formal meeting with the Buffalo Bills went viral for all the wrong reasons: Online trolls mocked Concepcion for stuttering. At a time in the offseason when rumors start churning about "character concerns," Concepcion showed A-plus character in his response to the undue negativity.

"I just wanna say something," the 21-year-old Concepcion wrote on his Instagram Story. "If you have a speech impediment, there is nothing wrong with us. I have had this stutter since I can remember talking. This is a part of me. This is who I am. I cannot control this. I wanna be a role model for those who may be scared to speak up, who may be afraid and not confident in yourself. I stand with you."

Concepcion continued, "This weekend has taught me a lot about myself and people out here in this world. I appreciate everyone who supports me and has reached out to me after these interviews. Don't let a[n] outside person thoughts, opinions get in the way of you being great [—] of you achieving something in life. I am blessed to be in the position that I am in, and I want to help give back to those who are scared to speak up [and] who aren't as confident. I stand with you. I will always stand with you. We are different for a reason. God has blessed my life in a way I couldn't even imagine in this past year. I love y'all and support y'all as we climb this mountain together."

Concepcion ended his message with "#StopTheNegativity."

There are plenty of positives about Concepcion as an NFL prospect.

NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah ranked Concepcion as the No. 33 overall best player in the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft, beginning on April 23. Jeremiah noted that the "intriguing" Concepcion had "inconsistent hands" in college, and his drop rate needs to decrease, but Concepcion possesses "elite burst" and "jumps off the screen."

NFL.com's Lance Zierlein compared Concepcion to former Seattle Seahawks Pro Bowl and Super Bowl champion receiver Doug Baldwin. To bring it back to the Bills, ESPN's Matt Miller projected that Concepcion will land in Buffalo with the No. 26 overall pick.

Concepcion spent his freshman and sophomore years at North Carolina State, where he excelled with 839 yards and 10 touchdowns on 71 receptions as a freshman. His sophomore season saw him dip in production, with just 460 yards and six touchdowns on 53 catches, and he transferred to Texas A&M in December 2024.
