Former NFL coach Jon Gruden has some thoughts.

And one that is very Jon Gruden-like. And also very Déjà vu.

That the Minnesota Vikings should trade for Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins.

During “The Gruden Family Football Show,” the former Super Bowl winning coach spoke his mind.

“If I’m Philadelphia, knowing Jalen Hurts is out for the year, if I’m the Vikings and we know Cousins in Minnesota better than anybody, I’m going to offer the Raiders a second-round draft choice. If I get Kirk Cousins in Philly or I get Kirk Cousins in Minnesota, we can win the Super Bowl this year with the defense,” Gruden said.

Not everyone agrees with Gruden, including “Bring Me the Sports.”

“Cousins has been great, but he doesn’t have Murray’s mobility, which is exactly what the Vikings needed when Cousins and Sam Darnold were quarterbacking Minnesota teams that were bounced in the first round of the playoffs by Giants and Rams teams that dominated the line of scrimmage,” Bring Me Sports says.

Not all fans agree with Gruden Gruden-ing.

“Loved having Kirk here; but trading BACK for him after we let him leave and traded his replacement away, is too much like a cat chasing its tail,” one person on X commented.

“Take so bad they need to check his email again,” someone said.

Cousins played for the Vikings from 2018 to 2023.

Since playing for the Raiders during the start of the 2026-27 season, Cousins has thrown 14 touchdown passes and is completing almost 64% of his passes while averaging 263 yards per game.
