The trade market is heating up across the NFL with the Nov. 10 deadline approaching. The Colts have already dealt two cornerstone pieces, All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson and All-Pro defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, while the Titans just traded away the face of their defense, Jeffery Simmons, to the Bears as Chicago goes all in on a Super Bowl run.
More trades are expected in the coming days, with stars like Jonathan Taylor, Brian Thomas Jr., Maxx Crosby and Khalil Mack all names to watch. Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson had also emerged as a potential trade candidate in recent weeks, with contenders like the Chiefs, 49ers and Rams potentially willing to make a blockbuster move for the star receiver.
But according to NFL insider Adam Schefter, that isn't going to happen. Schefter reported Saturday morning that a source told ESPN over the weekend there was "no way" the Jets would consider dealing their star wideout.

It's not entirely surprising that New York wouldn't want to trade Wilson. He's one of the best receivers in the league, and the team signed him to a four-year, $130 million extension in July 2025, keeping him under contract through 2030. He's still only 26 years old and already has three 1,000-yard seasons under his belt, even if the team success hasn't caught up with his individual production.
That said, Wilson has shown visible frustration in recent weeks as the Jets tumble toward another losing season. New York reaches the midway point of the 2026 campaign at 2-5, having lost five of its last six games. The team isn't playing well on either side of the ball, and this isn't the first time we've said that about the Jets during Wilson's five years with the franchise.

Wilson has yet to experience the playoffs during his NFL career, so it's fair to wonder whether he might eventually want to play for a more competitive team. The Jets have also previously signaled their intention to acquire draft capital and build for the future. They traded Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams last year, and trade rumors have been swirling around Wilson, Breece Hall, and others this season.
For now, though, Wilson appears to be off the table.
