The NFL Draft arrives Thursday night, and there's some new speculation about what might happen near the top of the draft order when it comes to the players available.

By now, it's no secret that Indiana's Heisman winner, Fernando Mendoza, will go off the board first overall to the Las Vegas Raiders. However, things could change with the No. 2 and No. 3 picks after Mendoza is selected.

The New York Jets hold the second overall pick in the NFL Draft, and there are no current indications that they'll trade the pick. However, ESPN's NFL insider, Peter Schrager, revealed he will update his final mock draft on Wednesday morning regarding who he has the teams selecting.

And according to Schrager, the Jets' No. 2 pick won't be Ohio State standout Arvell Reese as many have believed it would be over the past weeks.

During ESPN's "Get Up," Schrager discussed the situation and said no one around the league is talking about the Jets taking Reese with their second overall pick. According to the insider, Texas Tech edge "David Bailey is still very much in play at No. 2" for the Jets.

"When I put out my mock draft tomorrow morning, which is my last and final one, I will be having David Bailey as the No. 2 overall pick and not Arvell Reese," Schrager said.

He mentioned that Bailey had 14.5 sacks last season and is "the better player right now," whereas Reese is the "better prospect."

Reese, a 6-foot-4 and 243-pound linebacker, had 34 solo tackles and 6.5 sacks last season for the Buckeyes, showing his potential as a future star in the NFL.

There have been all sorts of rumors about Bailey in the NFL Draft over the past several weeks. Some believed that the Dallas Cowboys were heavily interested in Bailey and could potentially trade up to the No. 3 spot to select him.

Now, that might not be the case, with Schrager suggesting the Jets might opt for Bailey second overall. That said, it's also Schrager's mock draft based on talk around the league, so the Jets may change their mind right before they make their pick.

Either way, it definitely adds a new element of drama and intrigue to the NFL Draft, rather than everything happening exactly as every mock draft predicted for the past several months.
