Robertson-Harris will now head to Seattle immediately to prepare to suit up for the Seahawks vs. Atlanta Falcons game. The Seahawks are hoping to bolster their defense, and they have done so by adding a veteran defensive lineman in Robertson-Harris.

Jaguars DL Roy Roberston-Harris

Robertson-Harris currently has two sacks and seven tackles on the season. In 2023, he also secured 3.5 sacks and 34 tackles.

Robertson-Harris will do well to offer some much-needed pass rush, but also a player who can help stop the rush. The Seahawks are currently one of the worst teams in the NFL in terms of yards allowed on the ground. So far in 2024, Seattle is allowing a sixth-worst 144.7 yards per game rushing.

On the other hand, the Seahawks' defense is 10th best in the NFL in terms of allowing passing yards in a game. Seattle currently allows 195.0 yards per game. That figure can certainly be improved on and Robertson-Harris should help the defense out greatly.

Robertson-Harris spent his four seasons in the NFL with the Chicago Bears. The defensive lineman went undrafted and was picked up by the Bears in 2016. He would go on to secure 7.5 sacks, 75 tackles, and one fumble recovery.

After four seasons with the Bears, the Jaguars signed Robertson-Harris to a three-year, $23.4 million deal. He has spent the last three and a quarter seasons with the Jaguars. While playing for Jacksonville, he secured 11.5 sacks and 123 tackles.

Roberston-Harris now joins a Seahawks defensive line that includes Jarran Reed, Johnathan Hankins, and Byron Murphy II. Murphy has been on IR since suffering a hamstring injury in Week 3 but is trending towards returning in Week 7.

The Seahawks are currently 3-3 on the season. After a 3-0 start where Seattle beat the Denver Broncos, New England Patriots, and Miami Dolphins, they have lost three consecutive.

Seattle has now lost to the Detroit Lions, New York Giants, and the San Francisco 49ers. Even with three losses, the Seahawks are still tied for first place in the NFC West. The 49ers struggled early in the season, but have figured things out and have taken the tiebreaker lead for first in their division.

Despite the most recent struggles, the Seahawks are still poised to challenge the 49ers for the NFC East crown. Adding a veteran like Robertson-Harris should do well in bolstering the defense to string together some much-needed wins.
