Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers started off Sunday Night Football against Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers looking sluggish. At halftime, the Packers appeared to be in trouble and were down by a score of 16-7.
Despite the slow start, Green Bay figured it out in the second half. Love and company ended up winning the second half by a score of 28-9 en route to a big-time 35-25 victory over the Steelers.
Throughout the course of the game, Love was on a roll. At one point during the matchup with his former mentor, Love completed 20 straight passes, which tied a Packers' franchise record. He turned in a performance worthy of entering him into the MVP conversation.

When all was said and done, Love completed 29 of his 37 pass attempts for 360 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. He shredded the Pittsburgh defense time and time again and outplayed Rodgers.

Following the game, OptaSTATS shared an incredible fact about Love from the win over the Steelers. Love made NFL history in the process of beating Rodgers.
In the win, Love became the first quarterback in NFL history to complete 20 or more passes in a row, throw for 350 or more yards, throw for three or more touchdowns, record zero turnovers, and have zero sacks against him.
Those numbers put into perspective just how good Love and the Green Bay offense truly were. Of course, nothing more could be said without mentioning tight end Tucker Kraft, who racked up seven catches for 143 yards and two touchdowns.
On the other side of the field, Rodgers had a decent game, but he was nowhere close to Love's numbers. He threw for 219 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions, while completing 24 of his 36 passes.
After beating the Steelers, the Packers now hold a 5-1-1 record. Once again, they are back in first place in the stacked NFC playoff picture. Love is starting to look the part of a superstar quarterback on a consistent basis.
Now seven games into the season, Love has completed 70.9 percent of his passes for 1,798 yards, 13 touchdowns, and just two interceptions.

Should Love be able to continue playing at the level he has shown so far this season, the 26-year-old quarterback will likely be a top-tier MVP candidate. He also might be leading Green Bay towards Super Bowl contention.
Next up for the Packers will be a Week 9 home matchup against the Carolina Panthers at Lambeau Field. It also happens to be Love's birthday, which gives hope for another dominant performance.
