Cam Skattebo's peculiar behavior after being tackled in "Monday Night Football" had viewers, fans, and critics wondering whether the New York Giants' running back had malfunctioned.
Skattebo, finally healthy again, was back for his second game of the new season after last year's season-ending injury in Week 8 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Unfortunately, he ran into a tough Rams defense during his attempts to rack up any yards or touchdowns for the Giants.
And in some strange footage that went viral online, Skattebo appeared to be "glitching" on the sidelines and in the game. The Giants star's head kept jittering or shaking, which caught plenty of viewers off guard.

It also drew a lot of reactions to his noticeable head shakes, including likening his behavior to a video-game character.

"Dude has limited energy you gotta glitch some off to like 96 percent or he will overheat and explode. The guy is always moving," one commenter wrote.
"My lady said what wrong with him? I said he is scattered boo!" another commenter joked.
Others commented, "Looks like a fish out of water" and "Take the monster truck away from this guy."
Others suggested it was CTE or that the league needed to "drug test" him after seeing that footage.
However, many others commented that there isn't anything wrong with Skattebo and instead something he and other football players might commonly do.
"He does it to be comfortable in his helmet. Did in college as well," one commenter wrote, while another said, "Bro has done it since Highschool. He addressed it at ASU has a compulsive issue with his helmet."
As a commenter mentioned, Skattebo previously addressed shaking his head like that. In a 2022 social media post, he explained it was due to sweating under his helmet.
"Twitter just thought I should address the head shakes during the game lol . During the game I sweat and it causes my face to be wet. While my sweat drys on my face it causes my pads on the inside of my helmet to stick to my cheeks. If I had a head injury I would address it," Skattebo shared.
Skattebo played two years of college football at Sacramento State, followed by two at Arizona State. The Giants drafted him in the fourth round of last year's NFL Draft. He looked like a significant addition to their offense in his rookie season until his right ankle fracture-dislocation injury in Week 8 and emergency surgery.
Seeing him back to start this season has been a welcome sight for Giants fans as they continue to weather injury issues, including Jaxson Dart leaving the game with a knee injury last night.
In Week 1, Skattebo ran for 81 rushing yards and a touchdown. However, in Monday's 28-6 loss to the Rams, Skattebo finished with 12 carries for 36 yards. Calling his behavior a "glitch" may have also helped some Giants fans cope with a rough night for their team being unable to find the end zone.
