The Seattle Seahawks may have altered the NFL landscape by acquiring Quenton Nelson from the Indianapolis Colts.
Seattle bolstered its offensive line by sending Indianapolis two draft picks for the All-Pro guard. Kyle Brandt believes the blockbuster will have sizable implications.
Shortly after the Seahawks traded for Nelson, the San Francisco brought back star defensive tackle DeForest Buckner from the Colts. Kyle Brandt noted on Wednesday's "Get Up" that it was "not a good day" for the Los Angeles Rams, who watched both NFC West competitors improve.

The Rams appeared to build a superteam during the offseason by trading for superstar edge rusher Myles Garrett and cornerback Trent McDuffie. Aaron Donald then cemented them as early Super Bowl favorites by returning from retirement, but they're off to an underwhelming 3-4 start.
Brandt predicted that the Nelson trade will have a bigger impact than any of the Rams' major offseason moves.
"I don't care if this sounds hot-takey. I really don't care ... I think the Quenton Nelson acquisition by Seattle will do bigger things for that division than anybody the Rams brought in," Brandt said.
Garrett recorded a single-season record 23 sacks last season, but the two-time Defensive Player of the Year played one game with the Rams before undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery. After two years away from the NFL, Donald has yet to record a sack in his 2026 comeback.
Brandt didn't mention McDuffie, who's held up his end of the bargain as a shutdown corner. But the longtime NFL Network personality thinks Nelson can invigorate a Seahawks offense that may soon welcome back Jadarian Price and Zach Charbonnet.

"Myles Garrett's been out. Aaron Donald's been OK," Brandt said. "I think the Nelson thing is massive. I mean, it is an NFC-altering trade for an interior lineman that good. The running backs are getting healthier. This is a huge deal."
Nelson will get two chances to make his mark against the Rams when the division rivals meet in Weeks 16 and 18.
