The Philadelphia Eagles are dealing with a multitude of injuries, and it seems they are adding yet another player to that growing list.
According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Eagles are placing veteran running back Dameon Pierce on injured reserve and signing practice squad running back Jaydon Blue to their active roster.

Pierce left in the fourth quarter of the Eagles' Monday night loss to the Dallas Cowboys with an undisclosed injury, and now, he will miss at least the next four games.
It's certainly not the news the Eagles were hoping for as Pierce becomes the fourth running back the team has placed on injured reserve this season, joining Tank Bigsby, Will Shipley, and Carson Steele.

In the meantime, the Eagles will continue relying on starter Saquon Barkley, but he was limited to just seven carries in Week 7. So, if that remains the case, Blue could see some significant snaps right away.
Philadelphia signed Blue, a fifth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft by the Cowboys, in August. He has rushed for 129 yards and one touchdown in his professional career.
However, given the Eagles lack of depth at running back, the team may have to add to the room, even if Blue plays well in the meantime.
A fourth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans, Pierce has rushed for 1,780 yards and 10 touchdowns in his NFL career.
