After a 2-0 start to the season, the Philadelphia Eagles have plummeted down the NFC East standings, with their sixth straight loss coming on Sunday night to the Washington Commanders. But despite the struggles, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni doesn't appear ready to make any drastic changes at the quarterback position.

Sirianni and the rest of the Eagles coaching staff were obviously put in a tough position last month when star quarterback Jalen Hurts was ruled out for the remainder of the season after new imaging found blood clots in his lungs.

In Hurts' absence, the Eagles have turned to third-year backup quarterback Tanner McKee, who has largely struggled to string together a complete performance expected of an NFL starting quarterback in his three starts thus far this year.

With their postseason hopes fading quickly, Sirianni was asked on Monday whether any changes could be made at quarterback. Sirianni responded by confidently back McKee as "their guy" moving forward.

"Tanner is our guy," said Sirianni. "We're not making any changes there."

Currently, there aren't too many experienced options for Sirianni to choose from at the quarterback position in Philadelphia. The other backups on the roster consist of journeyman quarterback Joe Milton and fifth-round rookie Cole Payton.

Simply put, the Eagles would need to go out and bring in someone from outside of the organization if they wanted a quarterback with a bit more experience. And at this point, it sure seems like the Eagles are more likely to be sellers than buyers ahead of the looming NFL trade deadline.

With that in mind, the Eagles' next matchup could loom quite large in regards to how the rest of their season unfolds.

While they currently find themselves at the bottom of the NFC East standings, their Week 9 game against the New York Giants presents an opportunity to take a game away from the current leader of the division, which could very well entice the front office not to be sellers at the deadline.

McKee and the Eagles will look to snap their six-game losing streak in Week 9 when they host the Giants on Sunday, Nov. 8, at 1:00 p.m ET.
