Pro Football Talk offered more insight on the case by way of the Fort Worth-Star Telegram. According to the publication's report:

"Aubrey and the other members of the jury in Tarrant County's 297th District Court heard a domestic violence strangulation case. They found defendant Daniel Rincones guilty on one of two charges, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports, and sentenced Rincones to 65 years in prison for a felony charge of assault."

Rincones was reportedly given a lengthier prison sentence as he was designated a repeat offender.

Aubrey accomplished his civil duty. Though not everyone is picked to serve on the jury, the Cowboys kicker was selected and had to show up to do his duty. The good news is Aubrey did not have to miss Sunday's game as a result of his jury duty service.

The Cowboys need all the offensive and defensive firepower they can get right now, as they have dropped to 3-4 on the season after losing to the 49ers. The team has dealt with various injuries that have surely impacted this year.

Both pass rush stars Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence remain out. Lawrence remains on IR after suffering a foot injury, while Parsons is dealing with an ankle sprain. Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy revealed that Parsons is still rehabbing his ankle, and is unlikely to practice this week.

The good news is that All-Pro cornerback DaRon Bland has been designated to return from IR, and he will greatly help the secondary. The bad news is current All-Pro cornerback Trevon Diggs is experiencing hamstring tightness.

The Cowboys are banged up on both sides of the ball, but they still have a favorable enough record that they can rebound into playoff contention. At the very least, they get Aubrey back and kicking like normal in practice.
