Dak Prescott is well aware of what, or rather who, awaits him when the Dallas Cowboys take on the Green Bay Packers in Week 4 — former teammate and three-time All-Pro pass-rusher Micah Parsons.

However, Prescott said Sunday's matchup isn't about them.

Parsons, who was traded to the Packers before the regular season began, told the Associated Press’ Robert Maaddi that Prescott is “my guy.” He also said facing his former team is “just another game" to him.

The star pass-rusher said it would be painful facing and, if all goes well for him, sacking Prescott, who was not as willing to concede that though.

Prescott expressed hope that Parsons would not get to him and that it would not be painful for him, laying out the path he must take to get there. Prescott said it will be fun facing Parsons though.

“All the reps of practice, going against Micah in times when he couldn’t hit me whether him getting back there, just the trash talk back and forth, me telling him he wouldn’t tackle me anyways, he still can’t bring me down," Prescott told reporters on September 25, per All City DLLS’ Clarence Hill Jr. "You got to get to that point. Just getting to go out there and compete with a guy that’s a good friend, that I’ve competed with in numbers of ways throughout this building, outside of this building.

“Just excited to go and have that matchup. But he’s got 5 guys up front, plus tight ends and running backs that he’s got to get through. Then we’ll worry about if he can get to me.”

The Cowboys are 1-2 entering their "Sunday Night Football" matchup, and they're coming off a 31-14 loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 3. The Packers are a difficult matchup, coming in at 2-1 and boasting the NFL’s No. 1-ranked scoring defense.

Parsons is not the only Packers pass-rusher Prescott and the Cowboys are concerned with either. Green Bay also boasts Pro Bowler Rashan Gary, who leads the team with 4.5 sacks, while Devonte Wyatt has two.

The Cowboys have protected Prescott well, allowing just five sacks through three games. But Parsons, Gary, and company will put their pass-protection ability to the test.
