Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. was ruled out for Week 10 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. Robinson was listed as a limited participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but missed practice Friday.

Robinson missed last week's win over the New York Giants with a hamstring issue and Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens with a knee injury.

Against the Giants, there were several players that contributed to the run game in the absence of Robinson. Jayden Daniels, Austin Ekeler, Jeremy McNichols, and Chris Rodriguez Jr. had a combined 38 rushing attempts with a 3.9-yard average.

Robinson leads the team in rushing yards (461) and rushing touchdowns (6). The Washington offense has a tough task ahead of them as the Steeler defense is solid against the run.

Pittsburgh allows an average of 90.5 yards rushing yards per game. Only three teams have rushed over 100 yards against the Steelers. The Commanders hope to be the fourth team to do so.

Robinson won't be the only player to miss Sunday's game because of injury. Cornerback Marshon Lattimore, who was recently acquired before the trade deadline, won't play in Week 10 due to an issue with his hamstring.

The addition of the Pro Bowl cornerback should boost Washington's chances of reaching the playoffs.

"I'm excited; it's a new start for me," Lattimore said Wednesday. "I'm just ready to go and see what's in the future for me.

"They got a good young quarterback. They got good things going on, well, we do, let me change how I'm talking. We got stuff going on, it's a great situation for me to be in, so I'm excited for it."

Washington head coach Dan Quinn spoke on the addition of Lattimore and how important the chemistry for the Commanders squad is.

"Yeah, (GM) Adam (Peters) is very mindful of that, and he knows the importance of that with the team and he knows I share that opinion with him," Quinn said. "Having the right people is the first thing, if that's the first thing to get right. And so that's where, if that part's not right, then that's the end of the line.

"That goes for everybody that we bring in here, and we want to make sure coming here is unique and a really cool experience. And I told him today in front of the team, I said, 'You can ask anybody here, man, we're all here to help and support you and onboard you fast.'"

The Commanders currently sit at 7-2 and lead the NFC East. Without Robinson, it'll certainly be a tough task to generate the run game, but Washington has proven they're up for any challenge.
