The Indianapolis Colts have been the subject of some serious trade speculation following their 2-5 start to the 2026 NFL season.
On Tuesday, the Colts traded eight-time Pro-Bowl offensive guard Quenton Nelson to the reigning Super Bowl-champion Seattle Seahawks. This move caused the trade speculation regarding superstar running back Jonathan Taylor to reach new heights.
The Colts fueled this trade speculation with an interestingly timed post on Tuesday.

The team shared a highlight video for rookie running back Seth McGowan, who saw career-high usage in Sunday's Week 7 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Meanwhile, Taylor's usage saw a notable decline in the 16-10 defeat.
Fans flooded the comment section of this post with trade speculation.
"Now why would they post their rookie RB? Hmmmm," one wrote.
"This and JT played the least amount of snaps in 2 years…" another said.
"It’s over for JT," another added.
"And we’re tweeting this? JT is gone too," another wrote.

While speculation is at an all-time high for Taylor, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter believes the Colts will hold their superstar ball carrier.
"My understanding is that the Colts don't wanna trade Jonathan Taylor," Schefter said Tuesday. "If I had to guess today I don't think that they will trade Jonathan Taylor."
The Colts will face off against the Jacksonville Jaguars in a Week 8 matchup this coming Sunday.
