The Kansas City Chiefs made a huge announcement in terms of activating star running back Isiah Pacheco and defensive end Charles Omenihu off injured reserve. Despite both players being able to practice this week, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has already revealed if the team plans to play either this Sunday.

Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco

Pacheco has been out since suffering a fractured fibula in Week 2. Though there was concern that he would have to miss more time, a doctor explained to Newsweek Sports, that Pacheco was looking at a six to eight-week recovery.

That timeline has held true, as Pacheco is now back at practice. Despite likely wanting to join his teammates this Sunday, Reid is taking things slow with Pacheco and also Omenihu.

Omenihu suffered a torn ACL in the AFC Championship Game, resulting in his not being able to suit up for the Super Bowl. Despite being an instrumental part of the Chiefs' success in 2023, Omenihu had to watch from the sidelines and get healthy.

It typically takes around a year to recover from a torn ACL, and Omenihu has healed well enough to be able to join the Chiefs right in the middle of the season. Kansas City is currently 9-0 on the season and remains the only undefeated team in the NFL.

In week 10, the Chiefs were nearly defeated by the Denver Broncos. However, the special teams pulled off a huge play, blocking the Broncos from winning on a last-second field goal.

Even when the Chiefs' backs appear to be against the wall, they find a way to win. Now, they will get even more dangerous when Pacheco and Omenihu rejoin the lineup.

As stated, the good news is that Smith-Schuster is among the three injured players that will be playing in Week 11. He suffered a hamstring injury that was reaggravated, keeping him out of the past two games.

Now, Smith-Schuster can rejoin the wide receiver corps as another pass-catching weapon for Patrick Mahomes to throw to. The Chiefs have been finding ways to win despite facing adversity, and they are set to get three solid players back.

With Smith-Schuster returning in Week 11, and Pacheco and Omenihu returning for Week 12, the Chiefs might remain undefeated throughout this entire season.
