Observers might have expected the Cleveland Browns to be midseason sellers at the NFL trade deadline, but a strong start could set them on a different path.
ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said Sunday morning that it "seems unlikely" the Browns would trade Jerry Jeudy. The Browns aren't exploring offers for the Pro Bowl wide receiver, and it would take a "premium deal" to move him.
Jeudy has played a lessened role in his third season with the Browns, catching 12 of 19 targets for 150 yards in six games. He went two games without a catch but is coming off his best performance of the 2026 campaign, securing all four targets for 69 yards in a huge 13-10 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

Meanwhile, rookie wide receivers Denzel Boston and KC Concepcion have quickly developed into dangerous playmakers for Cleveland. That arguably makes Jeudy expendable, even if the Browns view themselves as legitimate contenders, but the 27-year-old is "maintaining a good attitude" despite the reduced spotlight.

That could take a top option off the table for teams seeking pass-catching help by Nov. 10. After four seasons with the Denver Broncos, Jeudy began his Browns tenure with a career-high 1,229 receiving yards in 2024.
Rather than getting another change of scenery, Jeudy may stay put and help the Browns attempt an improbable playoff push. They began Sunday tied with the Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers for first place in the AFC North despite a minus-16 point differential.
However, a three-game roadstand before the deadline could inform their plans. The Browns play the Tennessee Titans this Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
